Pretty fascinating, right?
And now, my top one is…
Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo
If you’re into spicy sauces, you must try Jack in the Box’s Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo. A crowd pleaser, many people consider this to be the best fast-food sauce ever invented.
A simple combination of hot sauce, butter, vinegar, and cayenne pepper, Frank’s Red Hot Sauce is unforgettable and easy for you to make at home. On top of its incredible flavor, Frank’s Red Hot Sauce has only ten calories per serving. [1] Can it get any better?
Perfect to go with their Crispy Chicken Strips, I like to order Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo sauce to dip my Curly Fries in or as a dip for the Tiny Tacos.
Buttermilk Ranch (also known as Buttermilk House)
Considered by many the best ranch sauce ever, Jack in the Box’s Buttermilk Ranch Sauce is deliciously creamy. With a strong mayonnaise base, you also feel the bitterness of the buttermilk on Jack in the Box’s Ranch Sauce.
Do you want to make this delicious sauce at home? It’s easy! You’ll first need to either make or buy ranch powder. If you go to the store, I advise buying the Hidden Valley Ranch Mix Powder to get closer to the original taste.
This Buttermilk Ranch Sauce is better paired with one of their grilled Hamburger options, their Chicken Nuggets, to dress their Club Salad with Crispy Chicken or as a dipping sauce for Jack in the Box’s Stuffed Jalapeños.
BBQ
With a strong taste of tomato sauce, brown sugar, and vinegar, Jack in the Box BBQ Sauce is a mix of the BBQ sauces found in Texas and Tennessee. Smoky, salty, and a tiny bit spicy, this BBQ sauce is best paired with Crispy Chicken Strips or Onion Rings.
Like any BBQ Sauce, it is fairly easy to recreate this one at home. You’ll only need ketchup, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, molasses, mustard, hot sauce, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
Honey and Mustard
In this sauce, you’ll feel the bitterness and spice of the mustard and the sweetness and smoothness of the honey. The Jack and the Box Honey and Mustard sauce is best when paired with a Grilled Chicken Salad or if you need something different with their Stuffed Jalapeños.
You cannot go to a Jack in the Box restaurant, but you are craving their Honey and Mustard Sauce? I’m here for you. Easy and quick, this is a sauce you can make in just 5 minutes. Add 3 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 tablespoons of seeded mustard, 1 tbsp of honey, salt, and ground black pepper to taste, and a few drops of lime juice. Et voilá!
Creamy Avocado Lime
Many have tried and failed. Not Jack in the Box, though. Their Creamy Avocado Lime Sauce is fresh and creamy; you need to try it. Normally served with their tiny tacos, this guacamole has the perfect avocado and lime ratio, giving it an almost homemade taste.
Talking about homemade, making this sauce at home is easy. Add a large ripe avocado, olive oil, vinegar, water, lime juice, garlic, salt, ground pepper, and one small seeded jalapeño to a blender. Once you get a creamy texture, add some finely chopped cilantro. Serve with tacos, and enjoy.
Apart from their tacos, this Creamy Avocado Lime Sauce would go perfectly with their Grilled Southwest Chicken Salad or as an added sauce to any of their grilled beef burgers.
Fire Roasted Salsa
Like the name says, this sauce is special because it is made with fire-roasted tomatoes. To those, they add garlic, onions, and spicy chilis. The final result is a smoky, punchy sauce that only has ten calories per serving. [2]
Their Fire Roasted Salsa will go well with any of their Tacos, Crispy Chicken Tenders, or Nuggets, and even with their Onion Rings and Burritos. I like to replace the mayo and ketchup on their Jumbo Jack Cheeseburger with this much more delicious Fire Roasted Salsa.
To make homemade Fire Roasted Salsa, you don’t need to be a Michelin-star chef. I’ll show you how. Add roasted tomatoes, onions, jalapeños, peppers, olive oil, garlic, cilantro and parsley, lime juice, sugar, and salt to a food processor. I add a little bit of hot sauce for an extra spicy taste. Blend everything, and you’ll have the most delicious salsa. A tip: as the name puts it, you should fire roast all your vegetables on a grill so it’ll add that smoky flavor.
Teriyaki Sauce
Known for its simplicity, it’s hard to make a Teriyaki Sauce that stands out. Jack in the Box did just that with their version of the Asian sauce. With a strong soy sauce and honey flavor, Jack in the Box’s Teriyaki Sauce has a thick texture, thanks to the cornstarch added to it.
A black belt in flavor is how Jack in the Box introduces its Teriyaki Sauce. It is not only amazing for its delicious Teriyaki bowl But also to use as a dip for their Egg Rolls.
Recreating this Teriyaki Sauce at home for your next Asian dish is easy. In a saucepan, boil soy sauce, vinegar, water, minced garlic and ginger, brown sugar, and honey. Once it simmers, add a water and cornstarch mixture to thicken the sauce. Enjoy!
Secret Sauce
Not so secret anymore, Jack in the Box’s Secret Sauce starts by mixing the common condiments we all have at home: ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard. A steak sauce and Worcestershire sauce are added to those to create Jack’s secret weapon.
This sauce’s smokiness is very tasty and close to the one found on their BBQ Sauce. Perfect to pair with their Curly or French Fries, this sauce is also a very good dipping sauce for their Stuffed Jalapeños or as a dressing for their Chicken Fajita Pita.
