A dish like Costco lasagna is absolutely perfect as it is, but I’ve come to discover that there are still things you can do to enjoy it even more. So, how to make Costco all meat lasagna better?

Try adding extra cheese, vegetables, meat, or a unique sauce to enhance the flavor of your Costco Beef Lasagna. Serve it with a fresh salad for a delicious meal.

Costco all-meat lasagna is definitely a great dish and a delicious and satiating meal option. Still, I like my food with some extra magic, so I always seek to improve even the best ideas. And here are the best improvements for this delicious meal!

Add Veggies

Chopped Veggies for Costco Lasagna

Veggies are hardly a priority with Costco lasagna, but they do make it taste much better. You can try adding a few veggies, any you like, really, to your lasagna to make it fresher and slightly crunchy; you’ll definitely like it.

I always go for onion rings and olive chunks, but bell peppers or a few jalapeno chunks can also do the trick. Cherry tomatoes are a great option, too, adding a nice acidity to your meal spiking through the fattiness of the lasagna.

More Cheese

Costco Lasagna with Extra Cheese

Adding more cheese is a universal trick to make pasta more delicious unless you can’t have it for whatever reason. Even though Costco All Meat lasagna comes with plenty of cheese on top, you can always add more to make it even cheesier.

I like adding extra Cheddar or some blue cheese for an additional layer of flavor and aroma. The extra cheese forms an extra thick layer of cheese crust on top of your lasagna, keeping the below ingredients juicy and creamy.

Make It Creamier

Costco all meat lasagna is generously creamy, but if you like your dishes even creamier, there is always a way to do that. I make my lasagna creamier with ricotta cheese but feel free to add whatever you want.

You can go with heavy cream, condensed milk, melted butter, sour cream, or an egg and milk mixture to achieve your desired level of creaminess. Still, adding creaminess also means adding liquid, so make sure you adjust the cooking time so that you get a creamy and not a drippy lasagna.

Make It Crunchier

Sometimes extra texture can do the trick, so adding breadcrumbs or crushed crackers can give your dish a nice crunch. You can add whatever crunchy ingredients you have at home, starting from goldfish crackers to mini pretzels.

The trick is to add the crunchy ingredients shortly before taking your lasagna out of the oven. If you add them before you start baking it, they will soak up the liquid and get soggy or even disintegrate.

Make It Meatier

If you like a meatier meal, then by all means, make it as meaty as you want. You can add ground beef or some deli meats, or even leftover chicken, turkey, or pork. Everything goes here.

Still, make sure that the extra meat you add is safe to eat because your entire meal will be ruined if you aren’t careful in this aspect. Another good idea is to shred your meat and avoid thick chunks. If you use ground meat, fry it before adding it to the lasagna.

Experiment with Sauces

Sauces are always an easy and effective way to up the flavor of pasta. This lasagna works great with tomato-based sauces. You can make yourself a delicious marinara or Arrabbiata sauce, or just add plain ketchup if you aren’t in the mood for something fancier.

Whenever I feel lazy, I just whip up some ketchup and mayo; this combo works insanely well with this meal.

Serve with Salad

If you don’t feel brave enough to add anything to your Costco All Meat Lasagna, but you want to give it a different dimension, salad is always a viable option. This way, your lasagna will remain intact, and if you don’t like the way it tastes when served with a salad, you just don’t eat the salad.

I always go with a rocket and cherry tomato salad because I like how the flavors match and compete with each other. I find that the rocket’s intensity pairs delightfully with the tomato acidity, balancing all included flavors.

You can go for a green salad, summer salad, or whatever salad you like; just avoid pasta salads.
