As much as I love the traditional Thanksgiving turkey, sometimes I just crave the deliciousness of Butterball Rotisserie Turkey Breast without the hassle. If you’re like me and want a simple, no-fuss meal that still captures the flavors of the holidays, then this recipe is for you. You’ll have juicy, tender turkey meat ready to serve in just a few easy steps.

The best part is you can make this any time of year whenever you’re craving comfort food. For a complete meal, I usually serve the turkey with my favorite sides, like mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and green beans. Or just keep it simple with just a salad. The leftovers also make excellent sandwiches, soups, and casseroles.

Butterball Rotisserie Turkey Breast Tenderloins Cooking Instructions

When it comes to cooking the rotisserie turkey breast tenderloins in the oven, I like to keep things simple. The key is not to overcomplicate the process. These tenderloins are so naturally delicious that you really only need a few basic steps to make them shine.

Follow along, and in about an hour and a half, you’ll enjoy a homemade rotisserie turkey breast that’s better than anything from the store.

Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients

Butterball Rotisserie Turkey Breast Tenderloins

You’ll need a few simple ingredients to make rotisserie turkey breast tenderloins.

First, pick up a pack of Butterball Rotisserie Turkey Breast Tenderloins. I prefer the smaller sizes, around 1 to 1.5 pounds each, so they cook evenly. You’ll also want some olive oil, salt, and pepper for seasoning.

Grab metal skewers that can hold the weight of the tenderloins, or you can use butcher’s twine to truss them. I usually use a wire rack and just put it over the roasting pan, so you can do this, too. Have aluminum foil on hand in case the outside browns too quickly.

Don’t forget a roasting pan to catch the drippings — the flavorful juice at the bottom of the pan is perfect for gravy. I also like to add diced onions, carrots, and celery to the pan for extra flavor.

With these basics, you’ll be well on your way to a delicious dinner. The key is not to overcomplicate things — keep the seasonings simple since this delicacy comes pre-seasoned.

Step 2: Prepare the Turkey Breast Tenderloins

Firstly, remove the tenderloins from the packaging. Since they come coated with seasoning, you can skip this step, but I like to season them a bit more. For extra flavor, I like to rub the tenderloins with a mixture of olive oil and fresh or dried herbs like rosemary, thyme, sage, or parsley, with the addition of salt and pepper.

Next, preheat the oven to 325 °F. While it is heating up, place the tenderloins on a wire rack in a roasting pan and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This allows the meat to warm up a bit so it cooks more evenly.

Once the oven is preheated, add about 1/2 inch of water or broth to the bottom of the roasting pan and place it in the oven. Then roast the tenderloins for 40-50 minutes until the thickest part reaches an internal temperature of 165 °F (75 °C).

Step 3: Finishing Touches

When the tenderloins are done, remove them from the oven and let them rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving. This allows the juices to redistribute and helps the meat stay moist and tender.

Once the tenderloins are cooked, I like to make a quick pan sauce with the broth and veggies in the roasting pan. Use an immersion blender to puree the veggies right in the pan. Or strain and reserve the veggies, pureeing just the broth.

Simmer the sauce for a few minutes until slightly reduced. Pour over the sliced turkey breast tenderloins.

How to Store Leftovers?

Any leftover turkey should be refrigerated within 2 hours of cooking. Here are some tips for keeping your leftovers fresh:

  • Allow the turkey breast to cool, then shred or slice the meat.
  • Place the meat in an airtight container or ziplock bag. Press out as much air as possible before sealing to prevent freezer burn.
  • Use refrigerated turkey within 3 to 4 days. For best quality, freeze any turkey you won’t use within 4 days.
  • Frozen turkey will last up to 3 months. When ready to eat, thaw the turkey in the refrigerator overnight.
  • Avoid reheating turkey more than once. For best safety and quality, discard any leftovers after the initial reheat.
