I’m always on the lookout for new and exciting salad recipes. And when I came across this BLT salad recipe, I knew I had to try it! The best part is that it’s effortless to put together, and you can customize it to your liking. But what to serve with BLT salad?

You can serve BLT salad with various dishes, from simple baked sweet potatoes and onion rings, chicken sandwiches, or skewers made of roasted vegetables or honey-glazed tofu, grilled zucchini boat with cheese, or polenta fritters with tomato aioli.

So there you have it! Seven great dishes that will perfectly compliment your BLT salad. Why not try them all and see which one is your favorite?

Baked Sweet Potato Fries

If you’re looking for a side dish that packs a nutritional punch, baked sweet potato fries are the way to go! Sweet potatoes are loaded with antioxidants and are high in fiber, making them the perfect healthy addition to any meal. [1]

To prepare baked sweet potato fries, all you have to do is slice sweet potatoes into fry-like shapes, toss them with oil and your favorite seasonings, and then bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, this combination pairs perfectly with a BLT salad!

You can get creative with your seasonings, too: try out a variety of herbs and spices to find what suits your tastebuds best. My favorites include a dash of garlic powder, chili powder, and smoked paprika.

Chicken Sandwich

My personal favorite dish to serve with BLT salad is a grilled chicken sandwich. It’s filling and delicious, and it helps balance out the bacon and lettuce flavors in the salad. Plus, it’s a great way to use up any leftover chicken you might have.

If you’re looking for something a little different, you could also try serving up some pulled pork sandwiches or fish tacos. Both of these options are light and flavorful and pair perfectly with the bacon and lettuce in the salad.

Whatever you choose, make sure to keep things simple so that the flavors of the salad can really shine through.

Roasted Vegetable Skewers With Tzatziki Sauce

To round out the meal, I like to add roasted vegetable skewers. All you need is a mix of your favorite vegetables. I usually love red peppers, onion, mushrooms, and cherry tomatoes, and then I just add some olive oil. Toss them together in a bowl, spread them out on a baking sheet, and bake for about 15 minutes at 400°F(200°C).

When they come out of the oven, serve them with tzatziki sauce or another favorite dip. You can make your own tzatziki sauce at home quickly and easily with plain yogurt, cucumber, garlic, lemon juice, and dill.

Serve this with the roasted vegetable skewers and the BLT salad for a delicious and satisfying meal.

Grilled Zucchini Boat With Ricotta Cheese

If you’re looking for a lighter side dish to serve with your BLT salad, I highly recommend these grilled zucchini boats. They’re easy to make and definitely a crowd-pleaser. Just slice the zucchini lengthwise and scoop out the seeds, then fill it with ricotta cheese and your favorite blend of herbs.

Then, top it off with a generous scoop of BLT salad, pop it on the grill for about 10 minutes, and voilà! You’ll have a delicious side dish that pairs perfectly with the BLT salad.

Plus, the zucchini boats add a nice crunchy texture that makes an exciting contrast to the creamy ricotta filling. You can even sprinkle some grated Parmesan on top for a bit of extra flavor. Enjoy!

Polenta Fritters With Tomato Aioli

Polenta fritters are a great way to add some crunch and flavor to your BLT salad. To make them, simply combine cooked polenta with egg, Parmesan cheese, and chopped parsley until it forms a thick batter.

Once that’s ready, you can use a spoon to scoop the batter into hot oil and fry the fritters until golden brown. Then serve them alongside your BLT salad and a delicious tomato aioli for extra flavor.

My favorite is mixing some mayonnaise, diced tomatoes, garlic, and freshly-squeezed lemon juice. Then spoon it over your fritters and salad. It’s so good!

These crispy little polenta fritters pair perfectly with your BLT salad, adding both texture and flavor that will leave everyone wanting more.

Baked Onion Rings

Baked Onion Rings make a delicious addition to any BLT Salad. You can add some extra crunch with a side of these tasty rings, which are also surprisingly easy to make.

You’ll need only a few ingredients, such as onion, garlic powder, some oil, and salt. To prepare your onion rings, start by slicing them and then dip them in a mixture of flour, garlic powder, and salt. Then coat them with some oil before baking in the oven.

The result? Delicious baked onion rings that you can serve alongside your BLT Salad for added texture and flavor.

Honey-Glazed Tofu Skewers

Tofu is one of those proteins that’s so versatile and easy to work with, making it a great choice to pair with BLT salad. And if you want to add a little sweetness, why not try honey-glazed tofu skewers?

To make these, you’ll need some firm or extra-firm tofu, soy sauce, honey, garlic, and your favorite veggies. I love bell peppers and mushrooms here. Cut the tofu into cubes and thread them onto the skewers with the veggies.

Mix the tamari or soy sauce, honey, garlic, and other spices you have chosen in a bowl. Marinate the skewers for about 20 minutes in this mixture before grilling for about 5 minutes on each side.
