I’ve never come across a BLT I didn’t like. In fact, I’m such a fan of the bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich that I’ve come up with 7 of my own favorite sauces to drizzle on it. Whether you like your BLTs simple or want to add a bit more flavor, one of these sauces is sure to please. So, what’s the best sauce for a BLT sandwich?

You can combine a BLT sandwich with a number of sauces, from creamy combinations such as sriracha sauce, avocado sauce, or everyone’s favorite Hollandaise sauce, as well as classic chipotle mayo, super tasty pesto sauce, roasted garlic aioli, and cilantro lime crema.

These are some of my top choices, but ultimately, it’s up to you to choose which sauce is best for your BLT. From mayonnaise to pesto to creamy sriracha sauce, there’s something for everyone. So the next time you’re in the mood for a BLT, whip up one of these delicious sandwiches and enjoy!

Creamy Sriracha Sauce

A touch of heat and spiciness from the Sriracha complements the bacon’s saltiness and the tomatoes’ sweetness perfectly. It’s a delicious combination that’s sure to please everyone. And it’s just the right amount of creamy without being too overwhelming.

This delicious sauce is made from sugar, garlic, vinegar, salt, and, of course, chili pepper, and if you want to give it an extra kick, just mix some Sriracha sauce with some mayonnaise, and you’re good to go.

So if you’re looking for a new and exciting way to spice up your BLT sandwich, then be sure to give creamy Sriracha sauce a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Chipotle Mayo

Chipotle Mayo’s got a bit of a kick, but it’s also creamy and delicious. I love the smoky, spicy flavor it brings to the sandwich. I also like to mix it up with a bit of ketchup or barbecue sauce to change things up, but it’s perfect on its own, too.

I always make sure to have a jar of chipotle mayo in my fridge, especially during the summer when BLTs are my go-to sandwich. I can make them in minutes, and they’re the perfect snack or lunch. Plus, they’re filling and satisfying.

Pesto Sauce

If you want something special to add to your BLT, look no further than pesto. It’s a classic Italian sauce that pairs well with the flavors of a BLT, and it responds especially well when used as a spread on toast or a dip for the sandwich components.

Pesto is typically made from basil, garlic, olive oil, pine nuts, and Parmesan cheese. You can purchase pre-made versions at the grocery store or make your own with fresh ingredients if you can access them. The combination of garlic, basil, and cheese gives it an earthy flavor that’s mild enough to work with the crispy bacon and juicy tomatoes.

If you’re feeling adventurous, add other herbs or spices, such as oregano or red pepper flakes, for a little kick! The pesto definitely adds an unexpected touch of elegance to your BLT sandwich, making it stand out from an ordinary one.

Roasted Garlic Aioli

Ready to level up your BLT sandwich game? Roasted garlic aioli is the way to go. Not only does this sauce have a delicious garlic flavor, but it also has a creamy consistency that pairs perfectly with bacon.

To make the sauce, I like to slowly roast the garlic until it’s golden brown and fragrant. From there on, I combine it with mayonnaise, lemon juice, and some freshly chopped parsley. Then I season it with salt and pepper for good measure.

The beauty of roasted garlic aioli is that it’s incredibly versatile. You can use it as a dip for veggies or chips, as a spread for sandwiches or wraps, or as an accompaniment for roasted potatoes or grilled meats. The possibilities are endless!

Hollandaise Sauce

If you’re looking for something a little special, Hollandaise Sauce is definitely the way to go!

Hollandaise is a rich and creamy sauce made with butter, egg yolks, and lemon juice. You can make your own or buy it pre-made from the store. Either way, it adds a luxurious touch to your BLT sandwich.

It goes great with bacon, lettuce, and tomato, as it helps balance out the smoky bacon flavor and brings out the sweetness in the tomatoes. Plus, its velvety texture pairs perfectly with crunchy toast and crisp lettuce leaves.

If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even try making your own version of hollandaise by adding a dash of cayenne pepper or other spices of your choice!

Creamy Avocado Sauce

If you’re in search of a creamy, dairy-free condiment to jazz up your BLT sandwich, try this avocado sauce. It whips up in just a few minutes and is the perfect combination of creamy, savory, and a little bit of heat. Plus, it’s full of healthy fat from the avocado, and the addition of lime juice gives it a nice zesty flavor. [1]

The key to this sauce is to mash the avocado as finely as possible. You can use either a fork or a food processor to do this. After that, just throw in all the other ingredients, including garlic, jalapeño, olive oil, lime juice, and salt, and blend until you have your desired consistency.

This bright green sauce adds an extra kick of flavor and creaminess to any BLT sandwich, making you want to devour it!

Cilantro Lime Crema

Want to add a bit of zing to your BLT sandwich? One of my favorite sauces to use is cilantro lime crema. All you need is cilantro, lime juice, sour cream, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt.

It’s really easy to make, too. Simply blend it all together, and you’re done! The combination of the acidity from the lime juice and the tanginess from the sour cream gives the sauce a perfect balance between tanginess and creaminess.

Not only does it taste delicious on BLTs, but it also works really well with other sandwiches, including veggie burgers or avocado toast. Feel free to experiment with different combinations until you find your perfect match!
