She has been one of the most captivating women in Hollywood for over two decades, from Bond girl to Oscar nominee to the unforgettable villain of ‘Saltburn.’ But somewhere between all those iconic roles, people started noticing something else about Rosamund Pike.

The skin. The glow. The way she looks, frankly, better than ever. The answer, it turns out, has less to do with the beauty counter and more to do with the kitchen.

The Good Fats She Lives By

When Pike was preparing for ‘Gone Girl,’ her trainer Holly Lawson built her entire diet around one core philosophy: good fat is everything. Her meals leaned heavily on avocados, almond butter, and salmon, with very few carbohydrates.

Lawson explained that these fats are necessary for muscle tone because they feed muscles the proper nutrients to grow, but the skin benefits are just as remarkable. Omega-3 fatty acids keep skin cells supple and hydrated, making fine lines less pronounced and giving skin a radiant glow that no serum can replicate.

The Salmon on Her Plate

Salmon became a cornerstone of Pike’s diet, and the science behind that choice is compelling. Salmon is rich in astaxanthin, one of nature’s most potent antioxidants, as well as omega-3s that build and maintain the skin’s lipid barrier, locking moisture in and keeping irritants out.

High omega-3 intake has been shown to help the skin hold onto water, leading to plumper, softer skin cells, and a visibly younger appearance. It also may block the release of enzymes caused by sun damage, helping prevent lines and sagging over time.

When it came time to lean down for filming, Pike’s trainer shifted her toward three meals a day built around a ton of leafy greens, alongside that alkaline water she reportedly drinks religiously.

That instinct turns out to be deeply well-founded. Leafy greens are packed with vitamins A and C, which combat free radicals, reduce inflammation, and support the skin’s natural barrier. Vitamin A helps reduce fine lines and stimulates cell turnover, while vitamin C is essential for collagen production, the protein that keeps skin firm and smooth.

The Skincare She Pairs It With

The diet does not work alone, and Pike is meticulous about what goes on her skin too. The French brand Sisley has become her go-to, with hydrating under-eye masks, facial mists, and repair creams forming the core of her routine before any major event.

Before stepping onto red carpets, she always preps with a pre-event facial, prioritizing deep hydration above everything else. Her makeup artist has also shared that applying a thick layer of lip balm for ten minutes before lipstick is one of her most consistent backstage rituals.

The Mindset That Ties It All Together

Perhaps the most refreshing part of Pike’s approach is what she refuses to do. She has been openly skeptical of the wellness industry and its endless promises, telling the Guardian that she thinks people are “being conned” by it.

Her actual formula is far simpler: real food, good fat, plenty of greens, and skin that is treated with consistent, quiet care. No detox teas, no miracle supplements, no elaborate protocols. Just a plate that works as hard as she does.
