Mark Wahlberg’s mornings look almost militant. He is up before sunrise, in the gym while most people are still asleep, and sitting down to the exact same meal every single day. On paper, it sounds like a household run on strict discipline alone.

But underneath all those early wake ups and identical plates of eggs, there is one thing about breakfast that Wahlberg treats as completely off limits to skip. It has less to do with protein and more to do with who is sitting at the table.

Here is the one rule the actor says he will not budge on, no matter how packed his four teenagers’ schedules get.

A Morning Built Like Clockwork

Wahlberg’s wake up time has shifted a bit over the years, but the intensity has not. He used to rise at 2:30 a.m., before eventually adjusting to a slightly later 3:30 a.m. start once his teenagers needed help getting up for school too.

By 7 a.m., breakfast is already on the table, and it barely changes from day to day. He recently shared that his go to plate includes hard-boiled eggs, scrambled eggs with turkey, salmon, and blueberries, made by his personal chef.

The Rule That Doesn’t Bend

As his kids have grown into teenagers with their own schedules, Wahlberg has admitted how hard it is to get everyone in the same room anymore. While promoting ‘The Family Plan 2,’ he explained that shared meals during the holidays are simply mandatory, from breakfast straight through to dinner.

He shares Ella, Michael, Brendan, and Grace with his wife Rhea Durham, and as the kids get older and start pulling away for school, friends, and their own lives, those shared meals have become something he actively protects instead of taking for granted.

It turns out the toughest guy in Hollywood’s real hard line has nothing to do with supplements or sleep schedules. It is just getting everyone to the same table at the same time, even if that gets trickier every year his kids grow up.
