The Daily Habit Catherine Zeta-Jones (56) Credits for Her Glowing Skin

She is one of the most classically beautiful people Hollywood has ever produced, and the years simply do not seem to be having the impact on her that they have on most people. Her skin glows in every photograph, her energy is visible in every interview, and when you finally hear how she eats every single day, it starts to make a certain kind of sense.

There is one rule at the center of it, and it is simpler than almost anyone would guess.

The Rule She Never Breaks

Catherine Zeta-Jones eats a salad at every single meal except breakfast, and she has been doing it for years. Her go-to combination is spinach, arugula, pine nuts, ripe tomatoes, blue cheese, and dried cranberries, dressed with extra-virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and a little mustard, eaten consistently at both lunch and dinner without exception.

Leafy greens like spinach and arugula are among the most antioxidant-dense foods available, loaded with vitamins C and K that support collagen production, protect against oxidative damage, and reduce the kind of low-grade inflammation that accelerates visible aging.

What She Eats Morning to Night

Her breakfast changes with the seasons: winter brings porridge with brown sugar, bananas, and blueberries, while warmer months shift to non-fat vanilla yogurt with granola, blueberries, and raspberries.

Blueberries appear in both versions, every single morning, bringing a concentrated dose of anthocyanins that fight free radical damage and support skin cell renewal.

Lunch is always the signature salad alongside grilled chicken, grilled cod, or stuffed aubergine, kept deliberately light. Dinner, eaten before 8pm without exception, includes an apple and avocado salad alongside fillet mignon with shiitake mushroom sauce and vegetables.

The Anti-Inflammatory Philosophy

The thread running through everything she eats is intentional. In an interview with W Magazine, she summed up her entire approach in one line: “Water, maintaining my pH balance, no alcohol and through diet keeping my body free of any inflammation inside and out.”

She avoids MSG entirely, which she says causes a physical reaction, skips diet sodas, and has repeatedly said that no skincare product can substitute for what she puts in her body. Hydration, she has noted, is something that has to come from within first.

The Drinks Behind the Glow

Water is the foundation, consumed throughout the day in significant quantities. Her drink of choice beyond that is cold-pressed juice and kombucha, the fermented tea packed with probiotics, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatory compounds that support both gut health and skin clarity.

Alcohol is off the table entirely, a decision she credits directly with keeping her skin hydrated, plump, and free of the inflammation that alcohol consistently worsens over time.

The thing about Catherine Zeta-Jones’s approach to eating is that nothing on her plate is inaccessible or expensive.

A salad of spinach and arugula with olive oil dressing, blueberries in the morning, grilled fish at lunch, water instead of wine, and kombucha on the side. It is unglamorous in the best possible way, and the results, worn openly on her face, make a convincing case every single time she steps in front of a camera.
