How to Make Costco Lobster Bisque Better? [7 Easy Ideas]

How to Make Costco Lobster Bisque Better

Costco lobster bisque is no doubt a great meal, but I need more flavor and a wow factor in my food, so I am always looking for ways to improve it. Even though you may find it just perfect, you can still try these ideas to level it up.

A little goes a long way, and these simple and easy ideas got the point of this saying completely. So, how to make Costco lobster bisque better?

More Seafood

If you feel like your Costco lobster bisque lacks substance, you may want to add more seafood. Even though the dish isn’t poor, some palates, such as mine, prefer more meatiness. I like to add shrimp to my lobster bisque as I like it much better that way.

You can add any seafood you want, but make sure you know what you’re doing because seafood can be tricky. I sizzle my shrimp and spice them up with salt and pepper and just throw them into the pot where I heat my bisque. They soak up the juices and elevate the overall flavor.

Heavy Cream

If your Costco lobster bisque feels a little thin, maybe some heavy cream could do the trick. I add it little by little and stir it in before I add more. This way, I can easily adjust the heavy cream amount.

The heavy cream will enrich the bisque and bring out the lobster flavor. The best thing is you can like your lobster bisque and still add heavy cream to make it even better. Just remember to add the heavy cream slowly and stir constantly.

Add Herbs and Spices

If you feel like your Costco lobster bisque lacks something, but can’t put your finger on what exactly it’s missing, try to spice it up. Salt, pepper, and herbal spices do the trick for me.

I also love adding balsamic glaze for an overall richer taste and some color pattern in your dish. The herbs and spices not only add flavor to the bisque but also intensify the already existing flavors, and it is the most painless solution to your problem.

Top With Croutons

Topping your Costco lobster bisque with croutons is the perfect solution if you want to add some crunchiness to your meal. The croutons will add texture and make the dish richer and more substantial. I like using croutons when I don’t have any shrimp to add, but it is definitely a delicious option, and it may easily become your first choice.

Add Lemon Juice

Add more seafood some balsamic glaze or lemon juice to Make Costco Lobster Bisque Better

A few drops of lemon juice go a long way with Costco lobster bisque. Instead of adding them directly into the bisque, I like to make a lemon juice mixture for some extra zing and edge.

I mix lemon juice, olive oil, parsley, garlic powder, and salt and let the mixture sit for about half an hour. Then I add it to the bisque as I eat it. It makes a world of difference, believe me.

Don’t add the lemon juice or the lemon mixture while heating the bisque, but wait until you serve it and add it as you eat. It gives the dish a Mediterranean twist and a very refreshing and flavorful note.

Serve with Crusty Garlic Bread

Crusty garlic bread is the solution for you if you don’t want to add anything to the Costco lobster bisque but still want to elevate it somehow. You can take a bite of bread and a spoon of bisque or have it my way and dunk your bread inside the bisque. Make yourself some crusty garlic bread and serve it on the side.

This way, the bisque will absorb some of that delicious garlic flavor, while the bread will fill up with the delightful fishiness of the bisque. It’s definitely a win-win.

Add a Splash of Sherry

If you want to give your Costco lobster bisque a refined dimension and some extra class, a splash of sherry is the perfect way to do it. Don’t be too generous, though, as things can take a wrong turn very easily.

A few spoonfuls are more than enough to give your bisque a sophisticated appeal. Because of this trick, I ran out of sherry pretty quickly. So, if you don’t have any sherry, you can always substitute it with white wine, but be careful to add even less, as it can be pretty intense when it comes to cooking.
