How Cindy Crawford (60) Keeps Her Glow Without Extreme Diets

There is something almost unfair about Cindy Crawford. Decades after first gracing the cover of Vogue, the iconic supermodel looks remarkably like a warmer, more radiant version of her younger self. And it is not a mystery, not a secret surgeon, and definitely not a crash diet. The answer is actually far more interesting, and a lot more doable.

The Morning Habit That Sets Everything Up

Crawford does not eat the moment she wakes up. She practices intermittent fasting at home, typically waiting until around 10 a.m. for her first meal, usually after fitting in a workout first.

When she does break her fast, it is with a smoothie she has clearly thought about carefully. The recipe includes coconut milk, half a banana, spinach, mint, collagen, protein powder, cocoa, flaxseeds, hemp seeds, and a sprinkle of maca on top.

The Rule She Lives By

Crawford is not obsessive about food, and she is very deliberate about that. She follows the 80/20 rule, eating healthy most of the time while still leaving room for real enjoyment, whether that is sushi with her family or a glass of wine on the weekend.

Her daily non-negotiable is a small piece of dark chocolate after dinner. She has said in interviews that skipping it only leads to eating five other things trying to fill that craving, which is actually a philosophy nutritionists would agree with entirely.

What She Eats, Day to Day

Her meals are simple, whole, and repetitive in the best way. Lunch is almost always a salad with a protein, often salmon or chicken, and she starts most mornings with green tea, which she drinks daily.

She avoids most gluten because it does not agree with her, particularly at home, though she happily makes exceptions when traveling in Europe. Dinner follows the same logic as the rest of her day, protein paired with vegetables and very little fuss.

The Skin Piece Nobody Skips Over

Food is only part of what keeps Crawford looking the way she does. She launches her mornings with dry brushing, lymphatic drainage using oil and gua sha, and time outdoors, barefoot on the grass.

She built her skincare brand Meaningful Beauty with French cosmetic doctor Jean-Louis Sebagh, based on the same formulas she had been using herself for decades. Consistency, she has said repeatedly, is the entire point.

The Mindset That Makes It All Work

Crawford has been open about the fact that confidence plays a role in how people actually look. She has spoken about the connection between mental health, self-care, and physical appearance, arguing that feeling good about yourself changes the way you carry yourself entirely.

It is not the smoothie or the salad alone doing the heavy lifting. It is the consistency, the self-awareness, and the stubborn refusal to take things to an extreme that most people are quietly craving permission to follow themselves.
