Healthy Valentine’s Day Treats to Share With the Loved Ones
Holidays don’t need to be an excuse to consume loads of high-calorie, high-fat, and super-sugary foods, so here are some healthy Valentine’s treats just for you! I made a beautiful mix of recipes – sweet, savory, fresh, chewy, crunchy, creamy… there is something for everyone’s palate!
Many of these recipes have a higher calorie count, but they are super nutritious at the same time – loaded with healthy fats, fiber, vitamins, and minerals. If you don’t feel like cooking, there are a few recipes that are ready in a heartbeat with fresh fruit, plus some no-bake cookies and a pink smoothie! I love all of these Valentine’s treats, so check them out yourself!
Healthy No-Bake Cookies
Cookies and romance go hand in hand, so don’t skip the recipe for these fantastic no-bake cookies! They are prepared with peanut butter, coconut oil, dark chocolate, and oats, so you already know the final taste is rich and texture chewy.
Almond Butter Hearts
Almond butter hearts look super sophisticated and high-end but are, in fact, super simple to whip up! They call for a few ingredients only – almond butter, coconut flour, maple syrup, chocolate chips, coconut oil, and freeze-dried raspberries for sprinkling.
Love Monster Energy Bites
If your significant other is running on energy bars – this could be such a cute, thoughtful gift for them! Make energy balls with oatmeal, peanut butter, chia seeds, honey, and almonds, then decorate them with some pink and red M&Ms and candy eyes.
Fruit Skewers for Valentine’s Day
Pancakes, fruit, and quark cheese skewers are super filling, delish, and actually healthy! You have the recipe for the pancakes here, as well. The batter is made with almond flour, eggs, and some honey, so it is the most nutritious version you can have!
Rainbow Fruit Heart
Here come vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants in the shape of a heart! If you want to go all out for the Valentine’s theme, choose pink and red fruits only, like raspberries, strawberries, passion fruit, watermelon, pomegranate, cherries, pink pineapple…
Valentine’s Day Fruit Salsa Snack
This is one of my favorite ideas from this list! Fruit salsa consists of strawberries, pink pineapple, pomegranate seeds, and raspberries coated in syrup. However, you can ditch the syrup and substitute it with low-calorie maple syrup – it is still top-tier!
Valentine’s Caprese Phyllo Cup
Nothing says “I love you” like mozzarella hearts! I love the idea of making tiny cups with phyllo, as they are low-calorie and super crunchy; pulse a superb base to fill with cherry tomatoes, cheese, and basil. The flavors are wonderful!
Valentine’s Bruschetta Hearts
Bruschetta bites in the shape of a heart scream Valentine and romance, right? The topping is simple – goat cheese, vine-ripened tomatoes, and fresh basil – simply perfect to serve with a glass of fine, well-chilled wine!
Healthy Heart-Shaped Gummies
This is for all my fellow gummy bear lovers! Gummies can be healthy, as well, if you make them with coconut milk, fresh strawberries, sugar-free maple syrup, grass-fed gelatine, and a few drops of pink food coloring. Delish and cute!
3-Ingredients “Chocolate-Covered Strawberries” Frozen Greek Yogurt Bites
I already know – kids will adore these heart-shaped froyos! If you don’t have blended strawberry Greek yogurt, the regular one will work fine. What’s more, I love to finely dice a few strawberries to add a tad of texture.
Delicious, Healthy Valentine’s Treats
If you love chewy-textured treats, you will adore the rolled oats and oat flour-based cookies. They aren’t too sweet, as you need to overripe bananas, a tad of maple syrup, and dark chocolate chips, but no refined sugar at all! They also store fantastically!
Adorable Heart Fruit Skewers
Who could resist heart-shaped fruits on the skewer?! You only need different fruits (watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, strawberries, and blueberries in this case), heart cookie cutters, skewers, and a few minutes to make these cuties.
Valentine’s Day Snack Board
When making a Valentine’s snack board, just pull everything in shades of red and pink you have in the fridge! Here, you have strawberries, raspberries, pomegranate, and dragon fruit, plus rice crackers, brie cheese, white chocolate pretzels, and toasted coconut.
Chocolate Berry Bars
In my mind, berries are a synonym for Valentine’s Day, so I listed these amazing chocolate bars here, as well! The crust is assembled with almond and coconut flour, while the chocolate layer asks for bittersweet chocolate and full-fat coconut milk. Sprinkle some fresh berries on top, and call it a day!
Chocolate-Covered Raspberry Bites
Last summer, this treat went viral, and for a very good reason! Mesh some raspberries and combine them with chia seeds, then coat the bites in a thick layer of dark chocolate. You’re just left to wait for them to stiffen in the freezer!
Healthy Chocolate Covered Strawberries
This is an obvious Valentine’s Day treat, right? I love this recipe because it doesn’t call for regular chocolate but for a blend of coconut oil, maple syrup, and high-quality cocoa powder that is loaded with antioxidants! Yum!
Healthy Valentine’s Day Cupcakes
Almond flour-based cupcakes with the pink heart filling in the middle are spot on for Valentine’s Day! The filling is actually freeze-dried strawberries with some powdered sugar and vegan butter, but you can swap the sugar for a healthier alternative.
Valentines Day Smoothie
This is an antioxidant-loaded fusion of banana, raspberries, strawberries, beetroot, walnut, date, and almond milk. Besides, you can include some protein powder or collagen to make them an ideal post-workout treat!
Chocolate Covered Strawberry Truffles
I promise you, these are way better than the standard buttery truffles! It is just a perfectly balanced blend of freeze-dried strawberries, shredded coconut, blanched silvered almonds, and some honey – you’re just left to dip them in dark chocolate!
