The Marinara has a lighter, tangier taste from the fresh tomatoes, while the Tomato is heartier and richer from the sun-dried tomatoes and parmesan. The Marinara is thinner and smoother, while the Tomato is thick and chunky. Looks-wise, the Marinara is a bright red, and the Tomato is a darker, rusty red.

As mentioned, the Marinara has a looser, flowing consistency, perfect for dipping breadsticks or garlic knots. The Tomato is thick and spoonable, almost like a tomato stew, ideal for topping meats, pastas, and pizzas.

I prefer the Marinara for dipping veggies, breadsticks, and pasta. The Tomato is my go-to for chicken parmesan, meatball subs, and pizza – the robust, cheesy flavor of the Tomato pairs better with heartier toppings and fillings.

At the end of the day, I can’t choose an absolute winner. It comes down to what I’m in the mood for – a lighter, fresher tomato sauce or a heartier, chunky tomato topping. Luckily, Domino’s lets you add either sauce to your pizza or pasta for no extra charge, so you can try both and see which you prefer. 

The great thing is, with these two tasty sauces, you really can’t go wrong!
