Kourtney Kardashian’s Favorite Berry Smoothie Is Surprisingly Simple

Kourtney Kardashian has built a wellness brand around elaborate rituals and specialty ingredients most people have never heard of. Her actual go-to smoothie doesn’t fit that reputation at all.

The Recipe Itself Is Barely a Recipe

The full ingredient list runs just six items: coconut water, berries, a handful of spinach, maca powder, sunflower seeds, and a couple scoops of protein powder. Nothing here requires a specialty store trip or an unpronounceable powder ordered online.

It’s the kind of smoothie that takes less time to make than it does to read the recipe itself. Everything goes into a blender at once, with no separate steps or soaking required.

Blueberries Are the Constant, Not the Rule

While the recipe notes that any berry works, blueberries are specifically called out as Kourtney’s own go-to. They add natural sweetness and a deep color without needing any added sugar to round things out.

That flexibility matters for anyone actually making it at home. Swapping in strawberries or a mixed berry blend doesn’t break the recipe, it just shifts the flavor slightly.

A Handful of Spinach Does Quiet Work

A single handful of spinach goes in alongside the fruit, blending in without adding any real bitterness to the final drink. Berries are strong enough to mask most of the vegetal flavor spinach would otherwise bring.

It’s a small addition that adds nutrients without demanding much attention. Most people drinking this smoothie would never guess a vegetable made it into the glass at all.

Two Add-Ins Do the Heavy Lifting

Maca powder and sunflower seeds are the two ingredients doing more specialized work here. Maca is often used for hormone support, while sunflower seeds add a mild, nutty flavor along with some healthy fat and protein.

Neither ingredient is exotic or hard to find at this point, even if they sound unfamiliar. Both are widely available at regular grocery stores, not just specialty wellness shops.

It’s a Different Smoothie Than the One She’s Known For

Kourtney is also behind a far more elaborate creation: a thirteen-ingredient, eighteen-dollar smoothie sold at Erewhon featuring activated charcoal and avocado, styled to look dramatic rather than to be practical for a weekday morning.

That contrast says something about how these two recipes serve different purposes. One is a show-stopping product collaboration, and the other is what she’s actually reaching for on an ordinary day.

There’s Room to Change It Without Ruining It

The berry smoothie holds up fine with small substitutions, whether that’s a different protein powder, a plant-based milk instead of coconut water, or frozen berries instead of fresh. None of those swaps require rethinking the whole recipe.

That kind of flexibility is part of what makes it realistic to actually keep making. A smoothie that only works with one exact set of ingredients rarely survives past the first attempt.
