Martha Stewart has built an empire around doing things right. But when people ask about her glowing complexion and seemingly endless energy, her answer keeps coming back to something surprisingly simple, and it grows right in her own garden.

Most people would expect a complex celebrity skincare protocol, or a team of specialists on speed dial. What she relies on can be made at home in under five minutes.

Her Daily Green Ritual

Every single morning, before anything else, Martha presses herself a glass of green juice. She has talked about this habit openly in her cookbook, on TikTok, and in multiple interviews, calling it her real secret to good skin and healthy hair.

What sets this ritual apart is how personally she approaches it. She grows most of her own produce year-round, believing that organic soil makes the juice taste and work better.

What Goes Into the Glass

The recipe is more thoughtful than a typical green drink. Her blend includes cucumber, parsley, mint, celery, half an orange with the skin left on, a piece of ginger, and pineapple, all pulled from her greenhouse.

She is notably anti-kale, and not shy about it. Kale, she has said, makes her burp, and she simply wants juice that tastes good.

The Rest of Her Plate

Outside of her morning glass, Martha keeps things deceptively simple. Her fridge staples are good parmesan, organic milk and butter, crème fraîche, and fresh eggs straight from her own chickens.

She describes herself as someone who does not snack, and lunch is kept deliberately light. Her signature tuna salad, made with Italian tuna packed in olive oil, crisp apple, fresh celery and shallot, and plenty of lemon juice, is about as far from boring as a tuna salad can get.

The Foods She Refuses

Martha has firm opinions about what should never land in anyone’s kitchen. Factory-farmed meat, non-organic milk, and GMO vegetables are all hard nos for her, and she says so without hesitation.

She also keeps temptations physically out of reach at home, even as brands constantly send her pastries and baked goods to try.

There is something genuinely refreshing about someone who has spent decades at the center of the food world landing on green juice and a good tuna salad as her personal answer to staying radiant and energized.

Martha Stewart did not build a lifestyle empire by cutting corners, and apparently she applies that same philosophy to what goes into her glass every single morning.
