Here’s What Priyanka Chopra (43) Eats To Look Youthful

Priyanka Chopra Jonas has been on red carpets, magazine covers, and action sequences for over two decades, and somehow keeps looking better with every passing year.
While the beauty industry loves to credit expensive serums and elaborate routines, the truth behind her glow is far more rooted in what ends up on her plate. Her approach to food is surprisingly low-key, deeply Indian, and almost aggressively honest.
She Doesn’t Really Follow a Diet
The first thing to know is that Priyanka refuses to pretend she has it all figured out. In an interview with ELLE, she put it plainly: she doesn’t really have a diet and wings it by the seat of her pants. She says that when she feels off she switches to salads, protein, and soup, and when she feels great she reaches for a cheeseburger and pizza without a second thought.
She also credits her genes for carrying a lot of the load. She has openly told The Times of India she fortunately doesn’t have a tendency to put on weight and can eat as much as she wants, which she calls a blessing in this industry.
The Everyday Plate That Actually Keeps Her Glowing
What she does eat consistently is beautifully simple. Her daily meals center on chapati, vegetables, soups, salads, rice, dal, and a lot of fresh fruit. She avoids fried and oily foods as a general rule, and fills the rest of her plate with whatever seasonal produce is available.
She also starts every morning with a Nespresso and one of her favorite snacks is a cheese sandwich with chilli pickle, which is about as relatable as a global icon can get.
Water Is Her Most Non-Negotiable Habit
If there is one thing Priyanka is almost evangelical about, it is hydration. She told The Times of India that water is a must for everyone, at least 10 glasses a day, and that she often drinks even more than that. Her exact words: it does wonders to your skin.
Beyond plain water, she also drinks coconut water regularly to keep her skin hydrated and glowing. She has also spoken about starting her day by drinking water stored in a copper vessel, an Ayurvedic practice said to improve skin elasticity and slow early aging.
The Indian Kitchen Ingredient Behind Her Skin
Priyanka leans heavily on traditional Indian beauty and food wisdom, and turmeric sits at the center of it. She has long used ubtan, a homemade paste made from gram flour, yogurt, turmeric, lemon, and sandalwood powder, as part of her skincare routine. Turmeric, which also shows up regularly in her daily Indian meals, carries antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that researchers have linked to improved skin health.
The paste itself was originally made by her mother, and Priyanka now recreates it herself. It is one of those rare cases where the grandmother’s remedy and the dermatologist’s advice end up pointing to exactly the same ingredient.
The Cheat Days She Is Not Ashamed Of
For all the wholesome weekday eating, Priyanka has zero guilt about the weekends. She has said she indulges her tastebuds and freely admits to bingeing on chocolate, cake, and tandoori food when the week is done. Pizza, burgers, and buffalo wings also make regular appearances in her life.
It is a food philosophy built entirely around balance, not restriction, and the results speak for themselves. When you eat dal and roti all week and wash it all down with 10 glasses of water, it turns out you can afford the buffalo wings.
