A long ingredient list is usually the first thing that talks people out of baking something seasonal. Most Halloween desserts don’t actually need one, and a handful of pantry staples can cover more ground than expected.

Each of these nine ideas works with four ingredients or fewer, no specialty tools and no trip to a craft store required.

Two-Ingredient Chocolate Bark

Melt a bag of dark or milk chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring between each one until smooth. Pour the melted chocolate onto a parchment-lined tray and spread it into an even layer with the back of a spoon.

Scatter candy corn or crushed pretzels across the top while the chocolate is still soft, pressing gently so everything sticks. Refrigerate for about 20 minutes until firm, then break it into rough pieces by hand.

Three-Ingredient Peanut Butter Spiders

Mix peanut butter with a spoonful of honey until it forms a thick, moldable paste, then roll it into small balls. Set each ball onto a plate and press four thin pretzel sticks into each side to form spider legs.

Two mini chocolate chips pressed on top finish the face, and there’s no baking or chilling required before serving. The whole batch comes together in under ten minutes from start to finish.

Four-Ingredient Banana Ghosts

Peel a few bananas and slice them into thick rounds using a butter knife. Melt a small amount of white chocolate and dip each banana slice halfway, letting the excess drip off before setting it on parchment paper.

While the coating is still soft, press two mini chocolate chips onto each slice for a simple ghost face. They set within about 15 minutes at room temperature and don’t require any refrigeration first.

Two-Ingredient Marshmallow Ghosts

Melt a bag of white chocolate chips in short bursts in the microwave until fully smooth. Dip large marshmallows about three-quarters of the way into the melted chocolate, letting any excess coating drip back into the bowl.

Set each dipped marshmallow upright on parchment paper and press two mini chocolate chips onto the front before the coating hardens. They’re ready to eat in about ten minutes without needing the fridge.

Three-Ingredient Oreo Truffle Pops

Crush a package of Oreos into fine crumbs, then mix with softened cream cheese until a thick dough forms. Roll the mixture into small balls and insert a lollipop stick into each one before placing them in the freezer for about ten minutes to firm up.

Dip each pop into melted chocolate, orange or black candy melts work especially well here, and set them upright in a foam block or glass to set. A quick drizzle of contrasting melted chocolate on top adds a finishing touch without any extra ingredients.

Two-Ingredient Popcorn Ghosts

Pop a bag of plain popcorn and let it cool completely on a tray. Melt white chocolate or white candy melts and drizzle it generously over the popcorn, tossing gently so most of the pieces get coated.

Spread the coated popcorn back out on parchment paper to set for about 15 minutes before breaking apart any large clumps. Pressing the mixture into small mounds before it sets creates a rough ghost shape without any extra decorating.

Three-Ingredient Pumpkin Fudge

Melt orange or white candy melts with a can of sweetened condensed milk in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. Pour the mixture into a lined loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Stir a spoonful of pumpkin pie spice into the mixture before pouring if a warmer flavor is preferred, though it works fine without it too. Refrigerate for about two hours until fully set, then slice into small squares.

Two-Ingredient Candy Corn Bark

Melt a bag of white chocolate chips until smooth, then spread it into a thin layer on a parchment-lined tray. Scatter a generous handful of candy corn across the surface while the chocolate is still wet, pressing lightly so the pieces stay in place.

Refrigerate for about 20 minutes until the chocolate hardens completely. Break the finished bark into uneven pieces, keeping some candy corn whole for texture in each piece.

Four-Ingredient Rice Krispie Mummies

Make a standard batch of Rice Krispie treats using melted marshmallows, butter, and cereal, then press the mixture into a lined pan and let it cool slightly. Cut the cooled mixture into rectangles once firm enough to hold their shape.

Melt white chocolate and drizzle it back and forth across each rectangle in loose lines to mimic mummy wrapping. Press two candy eyes into the gap near the top before the chocolate sets completely.
