Crust
- 1 zucchini
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1¾ ounces grated hard cheese like Grana Padano, Parmesan
- 1 egg
- ⅕ teaspoon pepper
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
Pizza Sauce
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- ¼ teaspoon granulated garlic
- ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
Toppings
- 5 ounces Gouda cheese
- 1¾ ounces ham
- 1¾ ounces pepperoni
- A few basil leaves
Grate the zucchini, season with salt, stir, and let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 450°F.
Squeeze out the excess water from the zucchini using a kitchen towel, then mix it with the egg, grated cheese, pepper, and flour.
With moist hands, press the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet forming a circle about a quarter-inch thick.
Bake the crust for 10 minutes, flip it over, and bake for another 5 minutes.
Remove from oven, lower the temperature to 400°F.
Spread the tomato sauce over the crust, then top with cheese, ham, and pepperoni. Return to the oven and bake for another 8-10 minutes.
Garnish with basil leaves and serve immediately. Enjoy your meal!
