Ingredients
  

  • 3 red apples
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup grits

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Wash and peel the apples, then grate them. Mix the grated apples with cinnamon.
  • In a large bowl, beat the egg with sugar and vanilla sugar until creamy.
  • Add oil, yogurt, and milk to the egg mixture, and gently whisk everything together. Fold in the grated apples.
  • In a separate bowl, combine flour, grits, and baking powder.
  • Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until smooth and well-combined.
  • Line a muffin pan with paper liners and fill each one almost to the top with the batter.
  • Bake for 35 minutes or until the muffins turn golden brown.
  • Let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
