- 3 red apples
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup grits
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Wash and peel the apples, then grate them. Mix the grated apples with cinnamon.
In a large bowl, beat the egg with sugar and vanilla sugar until creamy.
Add oil, yogurt, and milk to the egg mixture, and gently whisk everything together. Fold in the grated apples.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, grits, and baking powder.
Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until smooth and well-combined.
Line a muffin pan with paper liners and fill each one almost to the top with the batter.
