Don't preheat the oven before you pop your Pillsbury crescent rolls in, but let them reheat gradually as the oven warms up. Smear the Pillsbury crescent rolls with a thick layer of butter and put a damp cotton towel on them.
Set the temperature at 150 °C, i.e., 300 °F. Bake for 10 minutes and take out the Pillsbury crescent rolls to check them.
In the microwave
Either wrap each roll in baking paper or place a damp towel over the entire plate of Pillsbury crescent rolls. Choose a towel you can wrap the entire plate with, not just cover the Pillsbury crescent rolls.
Ensure you trap the towel ends under the place to prevent the dry microwave air from penetrating the Pillsbury crescent rolls. Set the timer to 30 seconds
In the slow cooker
Place a damp cotton towel on the slow cooker tray. Place the Pillsbury crescent rolls directly onto the towel and then cover them with another damp cotton towel.
Set the slow cooker to warm, so they will warm up gradually, with the warmth slowly penetrating the Pillsbury crescent rolls.
