Heat up the oil in a frying pan over medium heat until it begins to shimmer.
Cut the summer sausage into slices and place them into the heated oil one at a time using tongs or a spatula. I recommend slicing your summer sausage about 1/4 inch thick for even cooking and fuss-free flipping. If you find it more comfortable, use a mandoline slicer to get perfect slices every time.
Turn them over after two minutes and cook for another two minutes until all sides are crispy and golden brown.
Use tongs to remove each piece from the pot of hot oil once they’re done cooking, and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess grease.
Once you’ve finished frying your summer sausage, you can dress it up with your favorite sauces or enjoy it as is!
