Equipment

  • 1 frying pan

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Summer Sausage
  • 4 tbsp Olive Oil

Instructions

  • Heat up the oil in a frying pan over medium heat until it begins to shimmer.
  • Cut the summer sausage into slices and place them into the heated oil one at a time using tongs or a spatula. I recommend slicing your summer sausage about 1/4 inch thick for even cooking and fuss-free flipping. If you find it more comfortable, use a mandoline slicer to get perfect slices every time.
  • Turn them over after two minutes and cook for another two minutes until all sides are crispy and golden brown.
  • Use tongs to remove each piece from the pot of hot oil once they’re done cooking, and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess grease.
  • Once you’ve finished frying your summer sausage, you can dress it up with your favorite sauces or enjoy it as is!
