Ingredients

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Combine flour, melted butter, baking powder, sugar, salt and milk. It will look a bit shaggy.
  • Use your hands to bring the dough together and knead a few times on a lightly floured surface.
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll dough out to a 6 x 9 inch rectangle.
  • Mix together 1 tbsp softened butter, brown sugar and cinnamon.
  • Spread mixture over top of the dough into a thin layer and cut the dough into three even strips, the long way.
  • Roll up the middle strip of dough first.
  • Place cinnamon roll into a greased 4 oz. ramekin or a microwave safe ceramic mug.
  • Mix up your glaze before cooking the cinnamon roll as you want to add this right away and enjoy.
  • Cook in the microwave on high for 90 seconds. If it still seems a bit doughy cook in 10 second increments.
  • Drizzle glaze over it right out of the microwave.
