This is the next income and traffic report for Julies Cafe Bakery February 2016. I have included all income and expenses along with traffic reports. Welcome along the journey with me as I grow Juliescafebakery.com.
Thanks to a bit of patience and collaboration from fellow bloggers we were able to get our domain unblocked on Pinterest and things have been moving ahead well . To help everyone else who may be in the same situation I wrote a post here called How To Get Your Domain Unblocked From Pinterest.
Lessons learned this month – Perservere even when you think nothing is happening. Believe me if you do nothing you will get nothing! Also remember the skills you learn in the process can help others so – Share!
A quick note: Some of the links below are affiliate links. All of the services and products that are listed below are products and services we use. If you have any questions about the expenses or the income you can leave a comment and I will reply.
- Quinstreet – $220.10
- BlueHost – $00 –> this income comes from a page where we show people how to start a food blog and make money step by step.
- Adsense – $14.07
- Sovrn – $4.93
This makes a total income for the month of January of $239.10 most of which came from leads generated for the cooking, baking and hospitality courses found here. I have been a little lazy this month and could have done more posting and promoting.
- BlueHost VPS Hosting – $29
- FoodBloggerPro – $29
- TailwindApp – $9.99
- Amazon S3 and Cloudfront – $1.29
Biggest expenses are really just hosting and the foodbloggerpro subscription.
Total expenses amount to $69.28 leaving a profit for January 2016 of $169.82
Which is not too much lower than last month due to less expenses.
Here is where we delve into the traffic for the site. This is where really all of the work goes into producing a profitable blog.
This is a little lower than January’s report, which may acount for the slight decline in income. Bounce rate is down at 64% which is still really great. Average time on site is well over 1 minute.
We finally have a write up about our experience with getting our domain unblocked and show you how we did it. Full report is called How To Get Your Domain Unblocked On Pinterest.
Like i said with previous Income Reports we have a little trick to get our bounce rate low and Page views higher which i might reveal in future Income reports – so stay tuned.
Pinterest is still our main source of traffic. Traffic sources are alot different from last month. Pinterest is down along with Direct Traffic and Yummly traffic. However there are a few new ones and some increases in others.
Expenses were lower this month, however earnings were down due to a lower traffic volume. Will have to do more promoting and posting. Google search still is not providing alot of traction at the moment, but it is early days yet.
Keep an eye out for the March income report coming soon
